It’s Time For Change
Recovery from addiction is possible. Many LDS people are finding recovery using the 12 Steps which originated with Alcoholics Anonymous. The Twelve Step model is nothing more than a detailed description of how to come unto Christ and allow Him to lift our burdens. We come unto Him one step at a time!
I’m LDS and I Don’t…
…smoke or drink or use illegal drugs. Why do I even need to think about addiction? Addiction may be an ugly word, but it rears it’s head in every LDS congregation—and often in surprising ways. Even praiseworthy activities, like work and church service, can become a substitute for real peace and harmony, which only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I Have a Friend Who Needs Help
For every addict, there are many others who are deeply affected by the addicted person’s choices. This is especially true of the addict’s loved ones—parents, spouse, children, extended family and close friends. Loved ones can become so detrimentally affected as they try to cope, that they find themselves in need of recovery as well.
